Senior Chief Akeem Mobolaji Adewoyin was born on the 25th day of June 1959, He started his education at Ebenezer Anglican Primary school, Nalende, Ibadan between January 1966 and December 1971. He attended Awe High School, Awe from January 1973 to June 1978 for his Secondary School education.
He worked briefly as a clerical officer (Accounts) with National Electric Power Authority between July 1978 and September 1980 when he was admitted to study Urban and Regional Planning at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, where he completed his National Diploma in June 1982, Higher National Diploma in 1985 and Full Professional Diploma in1988. He also participated in the NYSC scheme between 1985 and 1986.
Mobolaji Adewoyin became a Member of Nigeria Institute of Town Planner in 1992 and Registered Planner in 1997.
He was employed into Local Government Service in July 1991and was held against the position of Director of Town Planning in February 1992, a post held in many Local Government Planning Authorities until he retired in June 2019.
Mobolaji Adewoyin is now the Principal Partner, Mobolaji Adewoyin Consult, a Physical Planning and Development Consultants and a member, Ibadan South West Local Government Traditional Council, Local Government Secretariat, Alesinloye, Ibadan.
He was Chairman, Association of Town Planning Directors in the Local Government Service between 2001 and 2005.
He was elected the Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Town Planner, Oyo State Charpter and served from May 2005 to August 2008.
Mobolaji Adewoyin was appointed the Chairman, Oyo State Urban and Regional Planning Board in May 2008 and served until May 2011.
He was installed as Mogaji Adetona Family, Idikan in August 1997, elevated to Ajia Balogun of Ibadanland in August 2006 and was overtime gradually promoted to Maye Balogun of Ibadanland in December 2016.
